Community-First City Hall

Public safety and quality of life are often grouped together. I believe they are related, but they are not the same.

Quality of life means protecting our beaches, harbor, parks, and open spaces.

It means creating programs for young people, families, and seniors so residents have meaningful opportunities to build relationships and feel connected to their neighborhoods.

It means preserving Newport Beach’s history and protecting the character of our city while making responsible decisions about its future.

Most importantly, it means putting residents at the center of those decisions. We can welcome visitors, support local businesses, and plan thoughtfully for the future without losing sight of the people who call Newport Beach home.

Our responsibility is not only to care for this city today. It is to leave it in excellent condition for the generations that come after us.
